Starting this fall, you'll start receiving a bill directly from GMP Énergie.

Énergir is ending progressively its billing service for GMP Énergie starting this year. Until now, your GMP Énergie charges were included on your Énergir bill under the "9450-8124 Québec Inc. operating under the name GMP Énergie " section. However, your GMP Énergie services will soon be directly billed by us.

Which charges will be affected by this change?

The following charges related to GMP Énergie will no longer be included on Énergir's natural gas bill:
- Equipment rental (water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, etc.)
- Service contracts
- Service charge

Why this change?

GMP Énergie and Énergir have been two separate companies since July 2022.
After a transition period that allowed GMP Énergie to develop its billing system, we are now ready to bill you directly under GMP Énergie starting in the fall of 2025.

What does it mean to be moved to direct billing with GMP Énergie?

Your current services with GMP Énergie are billed through Énergir on your natural gas bill.
After being transferred to GMP Énergie billing, you will receive a monthly bill directly from us for the following services:

• Service plans;
• Equipment rentals (water heater, heating system);
• Service fees.
This means that your payments will need to be made directly to GMP Énergie, using our various payment options.

When will I be moved to direct billing with GMP Énergie?

We will be progressively moving customers to direct billing from 2025 to 2027. Any customer impacted by this change will receive advanced notice from us with enough time to ensure the process is as smooth as possible.
If you have not received any communications from us about billing, you have nothing to do.

How do I ensure my account is moved to GMP Énergie successfully?

We will communicate with you by email and mail to provide more details when it's time to transfer you to GMP Énergie billing. It is important to provide us with your email address. Please call us at 1 866 641-7587.

I plan to move in the next months. What do I need to do?

If you have started receiving a bill from GMP Énergie, please contact us at 1-866-641-7587 to report your move.
If your current services with GMP Énergie are still billed on your Énergir natural gas bill, please reach out to them directly.

Will my billing preferences be transferred over from Énergir?

No, your billing preferences will not be transferred to your GMP Énergie account.
We recommend you call GMP Énergie to set your billing preferences, including signing up for paperless billing and pre-authorized payments. It is important to have an email address on file with us. Please note that GMP Énergie invoices will be issued on a monthly basis.

I own or manage multiple buildings. How will this change impact me?

All customers will be moved to direct billing with GMP Énergie, including property management account holders and residents. The new GMP Énergie bill will be issued to the same billing contact as your Énergir natural gas bill. These charges will be payable to GMP Énergie with our standard payment options

Here are three ways to pay your bill

  1. Pre-authorized direct debit payment
    The simplest and most efficient method of payment that allows you to avoid any delay. The amount due is deducted directly from your financial institution.

  2. Payment by electronic transfer on your bank’s website
    Add the supplier named GMP Énergie to your list of invoices and make your payment directly online.
  3. Payment by check
    Please mail the payment voucher and your cheque made out to GMP Énergie tot the following address:

    Boucherville (Qc) J4B 5H3.

Here are some important things to note about your first GMP Énergie bill

1 The address of the person paying the bill.
2 Your client number, the invoice number, and the invoice issue date.
3 In this section, you will find information about your previous billing, including the balance (amount) of your previous month's invoice, payments received, and the remaining balance (amount). If you have fully paid the previous balance, the remaining balance should be zero.
4 In this section, you will find information about your current month's invoice. It includes a list of the products and services billed to you by GMP Énergie, as well as the amounts due.
5 In this section, you will find the total amount to be paid, which consists of the sum of your remaining balance (see no. 3) and your current billing (see no. 4). You will also find the payment due date.
